List Shuffler

Randomise the Entire List

Paste a list and put every item into a fresh random order. Nothing is removed; only the order changes.

Quick Setup

Paste one item per line, then shuffle the full list.

How to Use It

  1. 1. Paste the list

Add one item per line and check for accidental duplicates if each item should only appear once.

  2. 2. Shuffle everything

Press Shuffle to mix the entire list in one go.

  3. 3. Copy the new order

Copy the new order if you need it somewhere else, or shuffle again when you want a completely fresh sequence.

Useful Features

Complete-list shuffle

Every item from the original list appears once in the result.

Keeps duplicate lines

Repeated text is preserved instead of being silently removed.

Handles long lists

Paste long lists without manually moving items around.

Easy to copy

Take the whole shuffled order with you in one action.

When to Use It

Presentation order

Randomise speakers, slides or discussion items.

Study lists

Mix questions, vocabulary or revision topics.

Task queues

Change the order of chores, tickets or review items.

Games

Shuffle players, challenges, maps or rounds.

More Useful Guidance

Shuffle when every item must stay

A shuffle changes the order without removing anything. It is useful for presentation order, queues, study questions and any task where every item still needs to appear once. The shuffled list should contain the same number of items as the original.

Example: random presentation order

Paste ten presenter names and shuffle once. All ten names appear in a new order, with nobody added or removed. Number the returned list if you need explicit places. If you only need three presenters from the ten rather than all ten in a new sequence, use Random List Picker instead.

Duplicates are preserved on purpose

If the input contains the word Apple twice, the shuffled list will also contain Apple twice because those are two original entries. The tool does not guess whether identical lines are accidental. Remove duplicates before shuffling when each real item should appear only once.

List Shuffler vs Random Order Generator

Both randomise an entire list. List Shuffler simply returns the entries in a new sequence. Random Order Generator makes the order itself more explicit by assigning numbered positions. Use List Shuffler for a clean reordered list and Random Order Generator when first, second, third and later positions are part of the result.

How the Result Is Chosen

Fair selection

Every item stays in the result exactly once; only the order changes.

Privacy

The list stays on the device while it is shuffled.

Common Questions

Does every item stay in the list?

Yes. The result contains every item from the original list exactly once.

Are duplicate lines removed?

No. If the same text appears twice, both entries stay in the shuffled list.

Can I shuffle a large list?

Yes. You can paste long lists; very large ones may simply take a little longer to shuffle.

How is this different from Random Order Generator?

List Shuffler gives you the reordered list. Random Order Generator also labels every item with a numbered position.

Does shuffling change the text in my list?

No. It only changes the order of the entries.

Can I shuffle the same list again?

Yes. Press Shuffle again whenever you want a completely new order.
